Tutukaka Surf Company is a family run business that has been operating on the Tutukaka Coast since 2005.  

Our coaching director, Simon Egginton, is an Advanced Level 2 International Surfing Association qualified coach, surf lifesaver and national surf competition judge.  All our surf instructors are ISA qualified, certified first aiders, experienced surfers and love sharing their local coast and love of the wonderful sport that is surfing.  The team is happy to advise you on the best gear for your surfing, the best surfing spots to suit your ability, and we hire surfboards and wetsuits so you can practise what you learnt in the surf lessons.

Group Surf Lessons - Book Now

An enjoyable, versatile surf lesson for beginner surfers. This lesson is operated in a fun group environment and takes students through the basics of surf safety, wave selection, and of course surf technique.

Operated daily for groups of three or more (depending on demand) at Sandy Bay, this is a great lesson all ages can enjoy.

Family Surf Lessons - Book Now

A family of four or more can book together for a discounted rate of $65 per person. A great experience to share, our coaches are versatile and can cater to every member of the family. Book with a group or exclusively for a special holiday memory!

If your family is more than four, on the next page will be an 'extra' option to add more Family Members.

Private Surf Lessons - Book Now

Our coaches will provide you with personally tailored, private surf coaching to take your skills to a whole new level.

The session is approximately 2 hours, and will include beach time, water time and a debrief session with follow-up photos and notes for your use.

Private lessons are a great opportunity to take your skills a step further, correct habits and have sound advice from experienced surfers.

There are multiple options for private lessons, either book yourself in for a one-on-one, take a friend and get two for the price of one with an exclusive coach, or book a one hour lesson to progress your skills.
